New Technique

Good Morning All! I come before you today with a rather new technique. Hope you all will try this out. The technique is called paper piecing. Obviously you wouldn't want to do this on a stack of cards, but for someone special, it is pretty unique.

Look very carefully at the inside body of the birds on the card. Also, the inside part of the party hat is different. Here is how it goes: You stamp your image on your card where you want them (in this case the white piece). Then on a piece of Designer Series Paper, stamp the same image. Cut that image out (just the body or party hat part) and then put in place over top of your image on the regular piece of white cardstock as shown. Instead of coloring in, it gives a lift to your images and jazzes them up a bit. Follow me? If not, e-mail me and I will help you out further.

This card uses the A Little Birdie Told Me set (which is retired) and some retired Designer Series Paper (Good Morning Sunshine) and 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grograin Ribbon. Colors used: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, and Apricot Appeal). Enjoy!
