Petal Party

Good Morning. It is Scrappin' Friday... let the weekend begin! How many of you are planning on cardmaking or scrapping this weekend? If I am lucky, I will get the chance.

Our featured post for today uses the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' Kit. I just love these kits. They get the job done; especially when you are having one of those moments when the creativity has just been sucked out of you!

This kit includes 6 sheets of 12 x 12 Designer Paper, 2 sheets each (12 x 12) of 4 different Textured Cardstock colors plus 2 sheets (6 x 12") of 3 different Self Adhesive Die Cuts. You can get a good number of pages out of these kits and they are definitely worth your money! On this particular layout, you can place your pictures wherever you want and even add more of the die cut stickers to the finishing touches (there are even journaling stickers included). The Simply Scrappin' Kits are $19.95. Enjoy!

I have posted the NEW Summer Mini Catalog here on the side for those who have not received yours yet. Please let me know if you don't have it by Monday. I have heard from most of you saying that you received yours. Don't forget to check back in on Monday for our latest creation.

Crazy for Cupcakes

Good Morning. I must confess that the post for today wasn't created by me. Again, I wish I could give the proper credit where it is due; however, this was a SWAP that I received that didn't have a name on it. I think it is a job well done, though. Unfortunately, scanning it here and posting it, just doesn't do it justice! There is a cupcake on the real red piece of cardstock. I probably would have stamped it in basic black just so it would show up better.

Sets: Crazy for Cupcakes and Hello
Again and A Little Birthday
Cheer

Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, and Bashful Blue

Ink: Bashful Blue and Real Red

Accessories: Modern Label Punch, Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, and Scallop Trim
Border Punch

Note - There are two layers of Whisper White. The first layer has sponged red edges and the other layer is underneath that.

Drop me a comment or send me an e-mail so that I know you are checking out my blog and I will put your name in my drawing for some blog candy! Everyone loves blog candy...don't they? The drawing will take place tomorrow morning and the winner will receive a set of six cards using sets from the NEW Summer Mini catalog. Enjoy!

Scrappin' Monday?

Good Morning. Maybe I should just call it Scrappin' Monday? Oh, how busy it got this weekend! I won't let you down, though. There will be another post right after this one too. It will count for Monday and this one will count for Friday! Enjoy them.

Today I am featuring one of the Simply Scrappin' Kits from the catalog. This kit is called Happy B-day. I haven't decided what pictures I am going to put on it yet, but when I do, the age (number stickers in the kit) will go on the right page on the top at the right to fill in some space. These kits are very easy to put together and you get at least 6 pages out of them. Also, this kit would make awesome birthday cards. The cost is $19.95. Colors used in the kit are: Crushed Curry, Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, and Ruby Red.

Send me a comment or shoot me an e-mail to let me know that you are reading my blog and I will put your name in my drawing (to be held tomorrow morning) for one of my scrapbooking kits that I have put together and sell at my classes. Remember, these can be used for cards too! Good Luck!

Beary Nice

Good Morning. This is the last in our series of 3 cards (4 of each design) for the Kit to Go for the month. This Beary Nice girl will have a bow in her hair and a pocketbook in her hand in the kit. I thought I ordered the right die, but I guess I didn't. Mistakes happen! The Safron part on the left is folded up and adhered in the middle giving this card a different look. There are rhinestones on the shoes and on the flower on her belt. Keep in mind, things look much better in person. These cards are great for birthdays, get well, invitations, etc. Even adults like the bears!

The Kit to Go is $20 with all pieces included ready to assemble. The only thing you need to add after you assemble them are the verses and you will have 12 complete cards. I am taking orders until April 26. The kits will be ready in the beginning of May. Enjoy!

Tomorrow, I am hoping to post our Scrappin' Friday pages. Bear with me as today and tomorrow are promising to be very busy days. However, I will do my best!

Beary Much

Good Morning. Cards with buttons tend to be hard to scan. I did my best for you.

This featured card is the second in the series of 3 designs in our Kit to Go for the month. I agree with a customer, who told me on Friday evening, that the cards look so much better in person than they do on the blog. This is no exception!

The Kit to Go is $20 and contains 4 cards each of 3 different designs. The only stamp set that you might want is the Beary Nice Wishes set, but it is not required. You can use any verse set in place of it. All supplies that you see come in the kit and you assemble it with the instructions that I provide. There is also a picture of the card on the instructions. Let me know by April 26, if you would be interested in any of these kits. They will be ready at the beginning of May. Enjoy!

April Kit to Go

Good Morning. Today I am featuring one of the cards in our April Kit to Go. Isn't she just too cute? I have to admit...I didn't make it...Emily did! She gets all the credit for this one! This is one of the three cards that will be in our kit for the month. I will be showcasing the other two cards in the next two days.

The kits are $20 each and you will have enough to make 12 cards. 4 each of 3 different designs. At this point, the only set you might need is the Beary Nice Wishes set (the words at the bottom), but you can substitute any verse down there. Everything else will be in your kit at this point. If you would like to reserve one of these kits, I will need to know by April 26. The kits should be ready the beginning of May. Enjoy!

Scrappin' Monday

Good Morning. Because of my forgetfulness last week, I am showcasing Scrappin' Monday instead of Scrappin' Friday. If all goes well, we will have Scrappin' Friday again this week.

Colors are: Old Oive, Baha Breeze, So Safrfon, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery. This would be a great kit for spring/summer pictures. The Kit to Go is $7 or $10 for those who need them mailed to them.

The winner of our last Color Renovation drawing for "blog candy" is ... Deb T. She has won a pack of Ruby Red Cardstock. Congratulations, Deb. Enjoy! Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Elegant Bouquet Sympathy

Good Morning. Another simple, but elegant sympathy card. These embossing folders really "dress up" the cards. If you own one or two, they are definitely worth investing in all of them. I use them all the time. There is a new one coming out in the Summer Mini Catalog too.

Close As a Memory

Good Morning. Our sample for today is simple, but yet elegant. I always try to keep it simple. I think that is the key. Continuing with my series of sympathy cards, I am thinking this is going to be the easiest. I just love the way the Rhinestones in the middle of the flowers add to the card. I am quite sure that Stampin' Up! will be adding them to their permanent line in the next catalog.

Speaking of the next catalog, it is due to arrive by the end of June - beginning of July. I am hearing of a Color Renovation. Each day, I am getting more and more details. It seems drastic, but I think it will be very exciting in the end. Most, but not all of the colors that they are retiring, we don't use often anyway. New colors bring excitement to our creations. Okay, I will share a few colors that I am heartbroken over and then I will post tomorrow a couple more that are retiring. I don't want to overwhelm you all at once. Here are the ones that break my heart: Mellow Moss, Lavendar Lace, Lovely Lilac, Green Galore, Taken with Teal, Ballet Blue, Close to Cocoa, Orchid Opulence, Pale Plum, Pixie Pink, Sage Shadow, and Cameo Coral. Any tears from you all? Please let me know that I am not the only one. If you are shedding tears, let me know which colors of these you like the most. I will put your name in for a drawing and the winner receives a pack of that color cardstock! Drawing to take place tomorrow morning.

Set: Close as a Memory
Cardstock: Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip Pad and Old Olive and Regal Rose Markers
Accessories: Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon and Rhinestones from the Eggscellent Egg Kit

The Winner of our Blog Candy (new item from the mini catalog - Party Favor Boxes)from yesterday is ... Karen S. (don't forget to thank Melanie, she pulled your name). Congratulations, Karen I will show you the Mini on Saturday and you can see what you will be getting! Enjoy!
