Asian Artistry

Good Afternoon. Only two more days until the fair is over. Can you tell that I am anxious?

Today's featured card gives credit to Cindi Layendecker. The set used is Asian Artistry. Colors used: Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Regal Rose, and Very Vanilla. This card was enhanced with Regal Rose and Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon; as well as, Certainly Celery and Rose Red markers. Enjoy!

Check back tomorrow for another new creation.

Quilled Bella Rose

Good Very Late Evening to All. We just returned from the cake auction at the fair (11:30 P.M.) and all kids are quite exhausted, but all did well. They all received blue ribbons and walked their cakes in the auction.

I wanted to share with you tonight a card that my daughter, Emily, gave me for my birthday yesterday. It was mushy inside...very nice...made me cry!

Anyway, the card uses Certainly Celery Cardstock, Bella Rose Designer Series Paper (one of her favorites), and she made the rose in the middle by quilling (rolling paper to form a shape/object). She entered a beautiful quilled cross in the fair and received a blue ribbon too. She is so special to me (as are all my kids...because they each have a unique personality) and she know exactly what I love the most (next to God and my family)...my stamping and scrapbooking! Enjoy!

Animal Stories/Tall Tales

Good Evening to all. I cannot take credit for this cute card. I hostessed a SWAP recently in which demonstrators make "X" amount of the same card and then we SWAP them so that we have a variety and get cool ideas. So now you know where I get a lot of my cool ideas! Anyway, this beautiful card was created by Colleen Houston and I am loving it!

This is a regular card with the fold at the bottom and the front top is folded down and it is glued on the sides. Inside is a message part that gets pulled out/up. The top part of it is lined with Tall Tales Designer Series paper; as well as, the bottom of the front of the card. This would make a cute invitation type card. The set itself is called Animal Stories and is great for birthdays for children. Remember it only takes a change of the designer paper and the set, to customize your own theme.

Colors used: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and So Safron. Card was enhanced with 1 3/8
Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, and 1/2 " So Safron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Flower Daisy #2

Hello All. I am sorry that I am delayed today in getting my blog posted. I spent the day (8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.) in the rabbit barn at the fair. Today was Rabbit Judging Day for the kids. All did well, by the way.

This featured card actually looks better in person! The Daisy flower, which by the way, is awesome, actually has So Safron in it (which isn't showing up well on the picture). I hope to have it on display at my next class.

Colors used: Certainly Celery, So Safron, Pretty in Pink, and Chocolate Chip. Designer Series Paper used is Tall Tales. This card has been enhanced by the Flower Daisies #2 Die, Scallop Circle Die, and the Modern Label Punch. Filigree brads were also used. Enjoy!

Durango Upsy Daisy

Well, what do you think of this simple, but bright card? I used the Upsy Daisy set along with the Brighter Tomorrow set (retired). Colors used: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend! Check back in with me on Monday for my next creation and the Deal of the Week. It will be our last Deal of the Week. I think this was a great idea that Stampin' Up! had. Can't wait to see the August special.

Mambo Upsy Daisy

Hello All. I apologize for posting so late and leaving you all hanging as to who has won the Punch Bear cards. I have been busy helping the kids with their fair projects. The first day of entries was today! All got blue ribbons too.
The winner is...Deb. T. She gets a set of the Punch Bear cards to put together!
Congratulations; enjoy.

Today's featured card uses the Upsy Daisy set. Colors used: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, and Basic Black. Designer Series Paper is Razzleberry Lemonade. The black rings were made using the Small Oval and Large Oval Punch. Clever idea; I didn't think of that one. Thanks for checking in on my blog. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Punching Away

Good Morning. Hope you all enjoyed a little rain last
evening? I sure did; less I have to water the garden.

The featured card for today uses punches. I made this
for a nephew. Punches used: Scallop Circle Die (actual face), 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch (ears), Large Oval Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch (eyes), Circles # 2 Die, Heart to Heart Punch (nose). The white in the eyes was also the Large Oval Punch just trimmed down. I made the heart stick up with a dimensional too. Colors used: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, and Close to Cocoa Pad to sponge color around caramel circles.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Send me an e-mail and I will enter your name in my drawing (to be drawn tomorrow a.m.) for a FREE card kit (5 in a pack) for this card! Keep in mind when you send me a comment, it won't show right away. I moderate my comments (to keep nasty comments from showing up), in which case, as soon as you post them, they are sent to me via e-mail so sometimes it will wait until I return home. When I am at home, I frequently check e-mail. Enjoy!

Under the Stars

This set is growing fast on me too! How addictive these sets can be. This Under the Stars set, was actually in the old catalog; who knew? It didn't do anything for me until I used it at a Stamp and Share meeting.

Don't look too close to the face...I colored it in with the wrong marker; oops! Colors used: Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel, and Chocolate Chip. The larger circles were made with the Stampin' Up! Circle Scissor Plus cutter. I am thinking I could make some cool scrapbooking pages using my son's Boy Scout pictures. Enjoy!

Totally Tools

Yes, it is that cool set again...Totally Tools. I just love it.
It makes a real nice "manly" card. Colors are: Brocade Blue,
Going Gray, Basic Black, More Mustard, Real Red, and Ballet Blue. I used a piece of the retired Hodge Podge Hardware at the top. Although, the silver piece (half circle) is suppose to hang down, but you can't see it hanging down because it flipped up in the scanner.

Don't miss the awesome Deal of the Week. The Styled Vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware Kit is on sale this week (until Sunday) for $18.99. Check out page 178 in your new catalog. The regular price is $29.95; what a deal! There are many pieces in there to play with. The hardware definitely adds a little touch to your cards and scrapbook pages. Enjoy!

Mambo Monkey Business

Congratulations to Kimberly K. who won our blog prize! She gets to pick a FREE stamp set. It pays to check daily!

Check out our card for the day. I made this for my niece for her birthday. Colors used: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Yo Yo Yellow, and Garden Green. This is a retired set, but it makes perfect birthday cards for kids. Enjoy your weekend! Check back in with me on Monday for more ideas and thoughts and the Deal of the Week from Stampin' Up!

Autumn Days

Good Morning! I just love this set. This card features the new set Autumn Days. I must admit though; at first, it wasn't not a set I thought I would like.

Colors: Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla.

The Word Window Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, and the Dusty Durango Ribbon definitely give it a lift. I always like different card folds too.

Some of you have asked if you need to let me know everyday that you are checking the blog. No, that is not necessary. I am hoping that you are checking at least every other day, but if you are interested in winning a prize, you should check every day! Here is my offer today: e-mail me or leave me a comment that you read my blog today and I will put your name in for my drawing for a FREE Stamp Set. This would be from my stock, but you will get to choose! I do have some cool hostess sets too. I am willing to negotiate prizes within the price range too! Good luck!

Flower Daisy #2

Good Morning! Our featured card for today uses the So Swirly Wheel (which is retired) and the Flower Daisy #2 Die with the Big Shot. The pink Designer Paper used here is from Raspberry Tart (another retired item). The colors used are: Pretty in Pink and Old Olive; along with Whisper White for the Round Tag Punch. The large Daisy has been brushed with Old Olive ink on the end of the petals. This card was created by a fellow demonstrator, Betty Murphy. Enjoy!

Tall Tales

This card features the new Tall Tales Designer Series Paper and it has a coordinating stamp set that is in the background. I just love the colors. The colors used are Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip. The Melon Mambo Polka Dotted Ribbon was used to enhance the card. Love that new coordinating ribbon. Thanks for checking in. Enjoy!

Asian Artistry

I must admit, this set is growing on me too. It is a Level 2 Hostess Set. Those in Hostess Club, keep that in mind. Colors used here are: Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red. I have seen a lot of cute creations with this set. I especially like the one that I posted last week with the bird on it!

And the moment you have all been waiting for...the winner for a pack of colored cardstock for checking in and reading my blog is...Rhonda Williams! Davona had a little bit more competition this time. Don't forget to make checking in a daily habit...you just never know what you might win! Enjoy!

Monkey Business Card Kit

Good Morning Everyone. If you haven't guessed by now, this is definitely one of my favorite retired sets. However the way the card is mapped out, you can use many different sets to complete it. The colors used here are: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Yo Yo Yellow.

I have several of these available. They are $1 each or $1.50 postage paid for those of you who are long distance. I can give you a break if you are buying in bulk too! Send me an e-mail and let me know that you read my blog today and you will be entered in my drawing (drawing will be tomorrow) for a FREE pack of colored cardstock.

Autumn Days Card Kit

Here is a new set that I can't believe that I fell in love with! When I first saw it, it just did nothing for me...and then I saw the set in action. It was all over after that!

The colors in this card kit are More Mustard, Really Rust, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla. The brads are Old Olive and the new Modern Label punch was used; along with, the Movers and Shapers Die. This card kit is $1 each or $1.50 if you are long distance and I am mailing it to you (including postage). You can get them in multiples too. Enjoy!

Printed Window Sheet Card IV

Hello All! Thanks for checking back in today. Here is our last in a series of four Printed Window Sheet Cards. The picture of this card doesn't do it justice.
Picture this...the Top Note Die is cut out of the front of the card, but the rest of it is inside. Covering the front is the dotted Printed Window Sheet. It is so cool because you can see right through the front!

Colors used: Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Crushed Curry.
Polka Dotted Crushed Curry Ribbon used. Razzleberry
Lemonade Designer Series Paper also used. Enjoy!
Check back tomorrow as I will have a Card Kits for sale.

Asian Artistry

Well, I am still struggling with the fourth in the series of Printed Window Sheet cards, but it will get done. I, also, haven't gotten any new card kits done.

However, I do have another new idea. This card features a new level 2 hostess set, Asian Artistry. The Dusty Durango piece uses the Texture Plates # 4 Kit and the picture doesn't do it justice. The actual look is like a wood grain (tree). The Whisper White piece (Embrace Life) is punched out of the Modern Label Punch. The Basic Black layered piece is punched out from the Magnetic Movers and Shapers moveable pieces. Enjoy!

Window Sheets III

Our third in a series of four Window Sheet cards. This particular card may be revamped a bit for our class. I am going to try to incorporate some of the new colors. The particular Designer Paper used here was Walk in the Park. Hopefully tomorrow I will have for you the last of the four Printed Window Sheet cards. If not, I will have a card kit to show you. Check back tomorrow!

Printed Window Sheet Card II

This is probably my favorite Printed Window Sheet card. The only stamp used here is the Birthday Celebrations from the Upsy Daisy set. Colors used are: Bashful Blue, Rose Red, and Regal Red. The Circle Rhinestone brads are holding the window sheet on.

We have a WINNER for checking in on my blog posts. The WINNER is Davona P. Congratulations. You have just won a pack of Square Ice Rhinestone Brads! Enjoy!

Printed Window Sheets

This is our first sample in a series of four of the Printed Window Sheet cards. They are so easy to work with! The base or folded card itself is in Old Olive. I placed a sheet of Pumpkin Pie on top -- cut slightly smaller. The sheet of Clearly Thanks Window Sheets comes with four on an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet. You cut it in fours and then I placed the one that says Thank You on top with Mini Glue dots. I used the Flower Fusion felt flowers -- put two of them together with a brad and made 4 sets and placed them on. There is no stamping involved in this card. Fast, easy card, but nice looking card!

Drop me an e-mail message today - emmhomeschool3@cescowildblue.com and let me know that you read my blog today. I will enter your name in a drawing for a FREE container of Ice Square Brads. Check back tomorrow to see if you won! Enjoy!

On a Pedestal

Good Morning! I admit that I have been slacking in the posting department lately, but let it be known that it is not because I have not been busy...because I have, but a good kind of busy.

Today's "star" card was received from Jan Wakeland and it features the Happy Everything set and the On a Pedestal set. Colors used are Old Olive, Bashful Blue, and Rich Razzleberry. Enjoy!
